Juice has gotten a bad name in recent years because of its sugar content but what is the real deal about drinking juice?
The simple truth is that juice is a highly concentrated version of a piece of fruit. To make a cup of orange juice you would need to squeeze 10 oranges. Now you aren’t likely to eat 10 oranges in a day so therefore the sugar intake from a single cup of orange juice is extremely high. Even if you are using real oranges that have all the nutrients such as fibre and vitamin c, you are still getting way too much sugar.
Don’t freak out here and throwout your juice, but it important to follow some simple tips.
Here are some simple tips to drinking juice:
🌿 Dilute the juice with water to reduce the amount you consume.
🌿 Drink it every other day and no more than ½ cup to 1 cup in a day.
🌿 Use vegetables mainly and then some fruit.
🌿 Opt for eating an actual piece of fruit instead.
